Fall Festival
Lauren's school had their fall festival yesterday. She had a blast. They had bounce houses, petting zoo, face painting, a dunking booth and Lauren's favorite - snow cones. Julia slept through the whole thing.

Update on the girls
In my effort to get caught up on the blog, here's a little update on what the girls are up to.
Lauren is going to St. Philips preschool 3 days a week. She absolutely loves it. She has a really good friend in her class. They hold hands everywhere they go, hug each other when they meet and go home and sit together in chapel. She is really happy there which makes mom really happy. She's also going to soccer once a week. She likes it but I think after she turns 3 we'll go back to swim lessons. She's loving being near Nana and Grandpa (so are mom and dad - free babysitting is awesome!).
Julia is doing great. She's starting to smile, laugh and coo. We started her on Zantac and that seems to have helped her fussiness and massive spitting up. She's sleeping 6-7 hrs at night. Now if we can just get the dogs to do that we might actually get some sleep!
Here's a few more recent pics...

We're Back!
After a looong absence, I am attempting to revitalize the Moss Family blog. Since my last post, we have added a new member to the family, moved back to Texas and James has started a new job. We've been a little busy!
I would like to officially introduce Julia Moss to our blog. Julia was born August 5 at 5:08 pm weighing 7lbs 4oz. She is now 11 weeks old and is doing great. She is much calmer than her sister was which is ironic considering she will probably be the redhead in the family (along with her dad of course). She weighed a whopping 10lbs 8oz at 9 weeks.
So far so good in Texas. We're renting in Frisco while we figure out exactly where we want to live. Lauren is going 3 days a week to a preschool she loves!
James is working too hard and readjusting to corporate. Hopefully things calm down for him soon. James's mom was with us during the move and we couldn't have done it without her.
So here we are in Texas again with two little girls. Hopefully I will be better going forward with the blog. Here's a few pics to get caught up.

Horse Farm
OK - so I am an online deal addict (ie groupon, weeklyplus, etc.). Sometimes some really unique things come across and I like to try them out. I recently bought tickets for a day at a horse rescue farm near our house. It turned out to be a ton of fun! Lauren loved the petting area, her horsey ride and of course her hot dog lunch. Check out our YouTube for some hilarious videos.

Easter Bunny
Each year Lauren has loved our Easter Bunny visits. This year was no exception. She waited patiently while Bunny was on a "carrot break" and was so excited to finally get her turn to sit and talk with him. Check out the youtube for her conversation.

A Day at the Zoo and Build-a-Bear too!
Last weekend we took advantage of a beautiful day and headed to the zoo. Lauren enjoyed all the animals, but really just loved running around (usually away from us). Later that day we went to pick out a bunny at Build-a-Bear. She had a blast giving her bunny a bath.

Introducing Baby Girl Moss!!
We went for our official ultrasound today and everything looks perfect with our new little girl. I am 22.5 weeks today, which coincidently is exactly the same as I was with Lauren's ultrasound. This turned out to be really interesting because we could compare their measurements. They are EXACTLY the same size at this point - 1lb 4oz. And, at least to us, this little girl looks alot like Lauren in her pictures. James and I are thinking she'll be a little mini Lauren with red hair! Overall everything was perfect. She is a mover and shaker though. She flipped back and forth 180 degrees at least three times during the scan. The US tech said in her 17 years experience, she's rarely seen such an active baby. She should fit right in with her dare-devil sister!
So here she is - baby girl Moss...

Back to the Blog
Sorry for the loooong blog absence. I don't really have any excuse but pure laziness. 2011 has gotten off to a good start for us. Lauren is still loving school and is going two days a week now. She is becoming more of a "little girl" everyday. Currently her favorite activities are reading (see pics and videos), playing with her "friends" - stuffed or otherwise - and watching Dora incessently. She has also become OBSESSED with princesses. I guess with a 2-year-old girl, that was inevitable.
James has been able to take advantage of the winter with a 3 day snow shoe trip and a great day of skiing. I'm just looking forward to day lights savings and a little more sunshine in the evenings. We're all slowing getting ready for our new addition in August. So far no idea if it's a boy or a girl, but scheduled to find out April 5th. We decided to wait until then to tell Lauren, although she talks alot about her baby brother/sister - not sure where she learned that.
Here's some pics of our family life over the past couple months.
