Lauren's One Month!

January 19th was Lauren's 1 month birthday! She's not quite ready for cake, but she did enjoy some time with her favorite bunny.

"Thanks Aunt Marte for my bib. I really like it and mom likes that she doesn't have to change my shirt 5 times a day!"
"Power to the people!"

Bath Tub Time

Lauren's umbilical cord FINALLY fell off so she can use her bath tub. She loves her baths now! (Note: While she does have a bit of a Buddha belly, she is not nearly as chunky as these pics make her look :)

Sunday Drive

After many weeks of being housebound, we finally got stir-crazy enough to go for a Sunday afternoon drive. This is a picture of Arrowhead golf course...a really beautiful spot not too far from our house.

James and Lauren posing for a quick pic. Lauren, like most babies I guess, loves riding in the car. Unfortunately, as soon as you stop (including stop lights!) she starts to fuss. Needless to say we put some miles on the car this day :)

My favorite Colorado creature...the prairie dog. They kind of remind me of little fat Zoe's.

Update on Lauren and the Moss's

Since being on our own the last 10 days or so, James and I are slowly starting to get a little sleep. For the first few days after my parents left, Lauren continued to have long periods of crying at night that made for some rough mornings. On Jan. 2nd, she went for her 2 week check-up and we decided to try her on Zantac in case her fussiness was caused by reflux. Since that night, she's been sleeping for 3-4 hours per stretch at night and mom and dad are much happier! She has become much more animated and playful. Her favorite game is to play with her hands...she also like to hide behind them when she sleeps (see pic below).
My hospital t-shirt!

Taking a snooze...hopefully will learn to sleep in my bassinet soon :)

New Year's Eve...12:01 and mom's still awake!!!

Christmas Day

Christmas was wonderful this year with little Miss Lauren. She was kind enough to sleep for 3 whole hours while we opened her presents :) She was thoroughly spoiled by family and friends!
By the end of the day we were all worn out...especially Zoe.
