Children's Museum

Today we went to the Children's Museum with Lauren's new friend Amber. We had never been before, but boy did we find a new favorite place.

Our New Backyard

We recently decided that with the weather in CO being as cold as it is, having a pool taking up half the backyard just wasn't worth all the trouble. Plus, trying to keep Lauren from falling on the cover was too much stress. So James finally got his long time wish and we filled in the pool. It should have only taken two days, but because of some poorly timed rain it took more like two weeks! We love the final product though.

Lauren Update

Well summer is almost here and we are ready for it! Lauren's been playing outside alot more lately and is really starting to enjoy going to the park. We're also enjoying our newly expanded back yard (see Backyard post).  For Mother's Day we went on a lovely picnic to Hudson Gardens, one of our favorite places. Lauren loves to just roam free and has no problem venturing far away from mom and dad. Here are some pics from her adventures that day and a few other random shots.

Big Breakfast Items

Apparently nothing's more fun to Lauren than a big bacon slide or a huge waffle to climb on. This last weekend, after many days of rain and snow, we headed to the mall for some indoor fun. I think every other parent in Colorado had the same thought as we all converged on the breakfast play area at the same time. Id on't know what Lauren loved more, the breakfast items or the huge group of kids running and screaming around her.

Dallas Arboretum

While in Dallas we took advantage of the warmer weather and headed to see the flowers at the Arboretum. Lucky for us we also made it just in time for the petting zoo! This was Lauren's first petting zoo and she did great.

Easter 2010

Lauren had a great time visiting all her family in Dallas for Easter. The older she is getting the cuter she looks in dresses :) Here are some pics of our trip...

Then and Now

Well it's official...Lauren is in love with the Easter Bunny. We thought it was funny last year when her little four month self sat happily on his lap, but this year confirmed her love of the bunny. We had to peel her off him! Needless to say, we were a little worried about a repeat of the "Santa episode", but she could not have been more content.  See the difference in her last year's bunny to this year's...

Spring in Here...sort of

We've had a few beautiful days recently and were able to get outside and enjoy some warmer weather. (Of course, it snowed 10 inches yesterday, so not quite there yet). Lauren is doing well and growing like a weed. She wants to walk everywhere now by herself...no hand holding for her! Here are some recent pics....
